His name is Tyshawn Lee he was murdered on November 2, 2015 just four months after Amari Brown was killed and the city has not yet recovered from that. Tyshwan was just 9 years old, who love to play basketball. Tyshawn was sought after and lured to an alley where he was shot 7 times because of a senseless rival between to gangs in the Auburn neighborhood. There is no reason or excuse to kill innocent people or children. The streets and neighborhoods here in Chicago no longer have any code or respect for anyone. I remember when I was younger the gangs would protect the people in their neighborhood especially the seniors and the children. Something needs to be figured out and quick to a solution to getting our streets and neighborhoods back to some type of order.

God bless this child and his family. I have a son who is 10 and I feel the pain of senseless things like this. I live in Florida and we still have not gotten over the murder of Trayvon Martin. It took me months to feel safe letting my boys play outside. Things like this have to stop. Our children deserve a better chance than what they are given.

ReplyDeleteThis really opens my eyes to the violence in Chicago. I used to run truck routes through there and never really thought about impacts like this. Just north of me in Cleveland they have a similar issue with Gun Violence, but not to the level that is in Chicago. My thoughts and prayers go out to these folks in their time of need. (I had spelling errors in last post)
DeleteThis is so pointless and so sad. My heart goes out to his family!
